Girl Scouts is the world's preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adults, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives: strong values, social conscience, and conviction of their own self-worth. We serve girls in the northwestern part of Cabarrus County, NC and Kannapolis, NC. Our district covers schools in the Cabarrus County school district and all schools in the Kannapolis City school district. We are part of the Girl Scouts Hornets' Nest Council which is part of Girl Scouts of the USA. If you are interested in getting your daughter in Girl Scouts, please contact us and we will help place your daughter in a troop.

Adult LearningAs part of its commitment to adult volunteers, Girl Scouts, Hornets' Nest Council provides extensive adult learning opportunities and resources. Training is one of the keys to success for any adult volunteer. Please note that the Orientation, Leader 101 and Leadership Essentials courses are required within the first six months after appointment to a troop leadership position. There are also a variety of outdoor and other enrichment opportunities to explore. Many of these courses can be taken locally, here in Cabarrus County. Please check your DYK for more information. If you are a new leader, you can contact Debi Wright at 704.723.1055 or
